At that time, Yu Hong and I were required to record the petty cash of the company. Since we were given a big stacks of bills to be recorded, we separated the bills into two stacks in order to reduce our workload. We were also asked by senior to record the petty cash of the company into an excel sheet.  Both of us had experiences in creating table by Microsoft Excel as we use this software quite frequent during our studies for our accounting assignments. Therefore, I thought that it would be an easy task for me to accomplish.  However, the problem started when we realized both of us have different methods of creating table in Microsoft Excel and it would be difficult for us to compile our work once it is done. Therefore, we both discuss on the way to solve this problem. After the discussion, we decided to create a simple and straightforward table pattern to present the petty cash records into the excel sheet.

 

From here, I have finally understood the importance of teamwork when apply into workplace. Being able to work together as a team helped me towards work efficiency so that I am able to accomplish task on time. Besides, working together is a great opportunity to acquire skills that I never had beforehand. Unlike working alone on a project, teamwork affords people the opportunity to challenge the ideas of each other and come up with a compromise solution that contributes to the successful completion of the task. Just like this time, Yu Hong and I have different ideas in creating table form and we took this as an opportunity for us to enhance our skills such as communication skills, computer skills and most importantly, teamwork. In order to achieve a goal, I must have the ability to work with others in a professional manner.
