To achieve something you've never had before,
You must do something you've never done before!!!
Week 1&2

In the first two weeks consisted of me familiarizing myself with the working environment and different people within the organization. I am guided on the tasks that needed to be performed in the department in my daily work.
Mr. Colin, one of my senior handed me a set of files which is regarding about the company’s income statements and statement of financial position (SOFP) for me to read and understand them. The purpose of handling this task is for me to have some knowledge about the company’s financial aspects. Besides, my senior also taught me about operation of Sage UBS Accounting software. Furthermore, I was asked to perform task by using the Sage UBS Accounting Software and trace the information in hardcopy of income statements and statement of financial position (SOFP) are the same in the software. I need to double-check whether there are any typographical errors or any calculation mistakes occur in Sage UBS Accounting Software.
In the beginning, I often trapped in a doubtful situation when using the UBS Accounting software as I am still unfamiliar with them as I have not experience in using any accounting software in my degree course. Consequently, this demotivated me in the first week of internship. However, I told myself I have to keep positive. Whenever I faced any doubts about this software, I will not hesitate but seek for help from my senior. I felt that I am very fortunate to have a good senior like Mr. Colin. Although I am a kind of impatience person, my senior was still willing to spend his time in guiding and assisting me with the software. He also taught me to be more patience in doing anything, whether in studies or work. It might take time for me to learn the software, but if I familiarize with the software, it will become an easy task for me. From here, I realised that we should lend a hand to those who are facing problems. If I have the ability to help them with the problem, I should not keep it to myself but help them to resolve the problem, just like my senior, Mr Colin. Lastly, I was glad to be given this opportunity to explore and learn things that could not be taught in my degree course.
